CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES, IMPROVE YOUR MOOD AND MORE
Looking good has its advantages. You improve your image, you boost your self-esteem and mood. Recent studies even point to a connection with success. According to Dr. Gordon Patzer, one of the leading experts in this area, "what you look like -- or, more important, how your looks are perceived -- shapes your life in dozens of subtle and not so subtle ways from cradle to grave." His studies show that higher attractiveness translates into higher finances. Not that you need to be a stunner to get ahead in life. Overall appearance matters most. Weight, fitness, posture, hair, teeth, makeup, clothes, all add up to send a message about how you feel about yourself and to lead others to mirror that sentiment. So, essentially, you can change your clothes and improve your mood.
A number of non-profits, including the Junior League of Los Angeles (JLLA), have even incorporated this idea into their community service, offering makeovers and business clothes to those in need. JLLA members provide homeless women with makeovers and business attire to help them in improving their circumstances.
