Food and Mood: The Connection

We all turn to comfort food now and then. According to Connell University, knowing the nutritional value of what you are about to eat can make a big difference in how much you eat. In the study, people feeling sad ate twice as much comfort food as happy people. Once nutritional information was introduced, however, sad people ate even less than the happy people did in the study.

Feeling blue? Before you turn to food, make sure you learn the nutritional value of what you're about to eat. If you're watching your weight, you will be glad you did. For more health related information, turn to our Body & Spirit area. For food tips, turn to our Foodie Toolbox on the right.
